Completion:

A reflection of times gone by when Indigenous peoples lived and fished for food in Western Sydney. Prior to European settlement, what is now Werrington County was home to the Mulgoa people who spoke the Darug language, as part of the Darug Nation. They lived a hunter-gatherer lifestyle governed by traditional laws, which had their origins in the Dreamtime. This work was commissioned in 2015, by The University of Western Sydney, Werrington Campus to celebrate Continuing custodians of the land on which the Corporate Centre Building stands. Canoe forms are suspended in the large void and fixed to the concrete walls in a large void to be viewed from offices rooms and while circulating the building.
